About Me
I have always had a natural voice for storytelling - from my high school media class to leading the student-run newspaper, The Bulletin, at California State University, Dominguez Hills as Editor in Chief and Managing Editor. During my tenure as Editor, our staff doubled and our audience reach continues to increase, more than doubling our viewership online. I have gravitated towards reporting on mental health and inequities students and parents have endured, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. By conducting newspaper meetings and classes online, due to the pandemic, I have honed in on my virtual communication skills and collaboration with a team in any environment. Networking comes naturally and I can easily step up into a leadership role. My ultimate goal as a journalist is to elevate the voices of those who can not be heard and to start a conversation that can lead to change.
